our path in life

Our path in life can be moved by challenges met along the way. These challenges can instill fear in us, which could cause us to do things not aligning with our original path or our Being’s core set of values. Therefore, it is important to overcome fear in our daily lives, question ourselves and ensure that the path we follow and the actions we take are based on our path and life’s longings, centered in love and not fear.

Fear exists only in the imagination. So, it can be overcome with daily practice taking action based on love, and not fear. This allows us to continue the path of our longings, and not be driven by fear becoming a product of our challenges. while its important to follow our path as described, it is also important to adjust our path along the way. While this sounds contradictory, it is important to understand the nature of the path adjustment, and to decipher if it is rooted in fear, or stems from our own growth, as say a newfound “shortcut” along the way.

Along the path, we may set some milestones or goals. And if setbacks occur that keep us from these goals, we could become frustrated or unhappy. However, these milestones are not the end of the path, and are not necessary for the fulfillment of our longings. So, being free from attachment to these milestones can help us to continue indifferently in our path, even though it may cause a change in the path.

These 2 lessons, although contradictory paint a more full picture of how we can live true to our Being, God, and our life longings. They highlight how nuanced life can be, as we pray and ask God for guidance, we can know that while one side of the pendulum offers a valuable piece of advice, the other side of the pendulum can offer an equally valuable, and unknown treasure of truth.

Sometimes the pendulous mass swinging between our legs can propel us forward into action.
